Details of Experience:

Miss. Lawson was admitted to the hospital with complaints of terrible abdominal pain where she stayed for several days for treatment. Upon discharge, the team felt it would be appropriate for Miss, Lawson to go to a short rehab facility where the team can work on her mobility and her recovery.

Miss. Lawson arrived to The Riverside on May 22, 2017, the team welcomed her to her room and made sure she was comfortable. Throughout her stay the staff looked after her every need including visits from the concierge team several times a week. Miss. Lawson did very well in her recovery both physically and emotionally, she feels very good and is very happy to soon be going home.

Miss Lawson describes her experience as the following, “I was very nervous and frightened when I first came, but as soon as I met everyone they were so nice to me, I have never experienced anything like this. The food was very good and I always had a choice if I wanted something else to eat. The staff went out of their way to be nice to me, the managers and directors came and welcomed me when I arrived; it felt so good that after a few days I felt like I was home. The physical therapy was very very good, the gym on the 15th floor is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to, everything was so wonderful. I go to therapy everyday and they are very nice to me. On Wednesdays, they have ‘Lunch with the Chef’ and everything is setup so beautifully, I would welcome anyone here from my family or my friends. I could never ever forget what The Riverside has done from me it was a beautiful experience. Jonathan from the concierge team came to visit me every other day and would ask me if everything was okay and how I was doing. Even if Jonathan saw me in the hallway he would come over and make sure I was happy and everything was going well.”

Miss. Lawson shares how blessed she feels to be able to recover at The Riverside and is looking forward to her discharge a few short days away.
