Details of Experience:

Miss A. Baker was admitted to The Riverside on March 4, upon her admission Miss Baker was very pleased to be at The Riverside again for her short term rehab stay. Miss Baker noted right away the beautiful changes that have been made at The Riverside, she really enjoyed that the construction team was able to implement some of the suggestions she made back in 2014.
Miss Baker was in the hospital for having cellulitis, she also previously had a left knee amputation.

Upon admission Miss Baker was very determined to get started on her daily rehab schedule, she was evaluated by our nursing and rehab team as soon as she was admitted and put onto the rehab program. Miss Baker was excited to meet all the staff on her floor and get to know them. Over her stay at The Riverside, she really feels she created a strong connection with all the staff from nursing to rehab.

Miss Baker started her therapy right away and soon began walking again, she is so proud to say that when she first arrived it was difficult and painful to even get out of bed but now she is able to walk and feels so much better. The overall experience at The Riverside was so instrumental in helping Miss Baker return to herself, she says that the recreation activities kept her busy, entertained and occupied in between therapy sessions. The meals were tasty and filling and the residents in her room and on her floor were always there to keep her company and helped her recuperate by talking to her about their rehab journey.

Miss Baker had a special relationship with her therapists who helped from day 1 to get her stronger and feel better. They were there for her when it was hard to get out of bed and they were there for her when she started walking again. Before Miss Baker left she wanted to thank all the staff for her amazing experience at The Riverside, the staff were so attentive, caring and always there for her every need. Miss Baker said, “I don’t wish on anyone to have to go to a rehab center but if you have to, The Riverside is definitely the number 1 choice!”
We would like to wish Miss Baker all the best and stay healthy!
